LisaMacStudio creates sign programs that enhance the visitor/user experience and complements the architectural integrity of buildings, cultural centers, parks and museums. Lisa works closely with the project design team to produce attractive and functional wayfinding, interior, exterior and interpretive signage.
LisaMacStudio creates logos and visual identities that are distinctive, inviting, and legible for a broad range of companies and organizations. The designs and branding systems convey an appropriate and identifiable message for each special project and client. These unique logos and branding identities are produced to be easily used in all types of applications from print to electronic media.
Lisa has experience managing an array of projects. She served as creative director for the Heard Museum where she led the design department and managed consulting, design and construction teams for new gallery construction and renovations. Lisa planned and implemented a multi-year, multi-gallery exhibition plan and coordinated the traveling exhibition program. Lisa’s years of experience have resulted in established professional relationships with architects, designers, fabricators, installers, art handlers and technology and software designers. Lisa has a consistent record of successfully meeting project schedules and budgets.
LisaMacStudio understands that the realization of all projects hinges on the support of individuals, organizations and corporations. Donor recognition is key to providing a means for fundraising and for acknowledging those who have made each project a success. Lisa designs donor recognition packages that comprise permanent naming plaques and signs, permanent and updateable donor boards and electronic media programs. Lisa’s designs integrate with the architecture and nature of the space in which they are installed.
Lisa works with private collectors who have acquired collections that are personal and valuable. She gathers information to produce records that are important and useful to the collector and their families. Final documents include photographs, measurements, artist information, materials, general condition, acquisition costs and location where purchased, current market value and personal stories. After years of museum experience Lisa is comfortable handling art and objects and is knowledgeable about different art media.
Lisa is an accomplished watercolorist. She is a keen observer of the natural world in all its remarkable diversity and the delicate nature of her watercolor medium lends a layered, ephemeral quality to her work. The paintings have inspired a line of products by ThreeMacStudio, a collaboration with her two sisters. Products — including gift cards and tags, note cards, wrapping paper, fabric items and wallpaper — are available on Etsy and at several local retailers.
